Dr. Eshwara Prasad Koorapati, Prof. of Mechanical Engineering and Principal, JNTUH College of Engineering Sultanpur, is a person of diligence coalesced with ardent fervour to teaching is known for his progressive reformations and foresight in administration. With his punctiliousness and candid nature he incessantly thrives to elevate the College to greater heights by leveraging the modern technological inputs. He obtained his B.Tech (Mech) from JNTUCEH and M.Tech in (M/c Tools) NITW, he procured his M.Tech with a specialization in (MIT) from Massey University, New Zealand, with a distinction. He acquired his Doctoral degree from JNTU Hyderabad and Post Doctoral Degree from Hoseo University "South Korea (2007-2008), he also has the distinction of completing Medical Informatics Certificate course from Monash University, Melbourne" Australia.

Dr. Eshwara Prasad Koorapati has a meritorious record of accolades in his academic and administrative front. He began his academic career working as an Assistant Professor in ME at KITS Warangal and joined the JNTU Hyderabad as an Associate Professor (1st Jan, 1990-Dec 2008). He rendered valuable services to the University as a Professor and Training & Placement officer which leave an indelible remark in the history of the University. He is renowned for his acumen in securing good placements for the students in companies of repute.

His unflinching quest in research endeavors is noteworthy and his research interests comprise of Materials Engineering, Nano manufacturing, CAD / CAM, Rapid Prototyping, Principles of metal cutting, Condition monitoring of cutting tools and machine tools, Virtual manufacturing, Finite Element Analysis, Computational Fluid Dynamics, MEMS, Nano Technology, Nano Material, Surface Technology and Coating, Measuring Techniques, Mechanical Instrumentation.

Dr. Prasad is exceptionally associated with various foreign universities across the world and has the distinction of traveling across 14 countries. He has held various positions of esteem as a Research Assistant "Massey University" New Zealand, Y2K Support" Massey University Research & Development Centre-NZ and Research Associate, Cooperative Research Centre "Victoria" Australia.

He Visited Massey University. New Zealand, Dept. of Technology as a Post Graduate Research Scholar (1996-99), at the Monash University "Melbourne - as a research associate (2000-2003), University of Rome-ITALY, Australia" High Energetic Materials research-Central Queensland University(2007), University of Nevada-USA(2011), South Korea(2007-08). He attended a number of Conferences in Malaysia, Singapore, Bangkok and Japan.

He has rendered remarkable services as a Coordinator Entrepreneurship Development Cell, JNTU, Hyderabad for more than a decade. He played a key role in creating the entrepreneurial culture in the Parent Institution and other institutions in the region and to promote the objectives of NSTEDB, including programmers related to women and weaker sections of the society.

He has organized several skill development training programmes leading to self employment. Under his dynamic leadership the university has ventured into several entrepreneurship awareness campus.

As part of the functions of EDC Cell, he has guided and assisted prospective entrepreneurs on various aspects such as preparing project reports, obtaining project approvals, loans and facilities from agencies of support systems and information on various technologies. He is also known to have rendered his advice to sick enterprises and assisted the entrepreneurs in rehabilitating them.

Dr. Eshwara Prasad published several papers in international journals and national journals. He also participated and presented 10 papers in International Conferences and 12 papers in national conferences.

He is also associated with professional bodies such as FIE (I), CEng, MISTE, IPENZ (New Zealand), IIPE.
